We called her Maggie, a 4 month old pup, yellow lab x, who came without a name. A stray, they said, and something wrong with her face.Take her away.
We do not know what really happened, a car, a kick, a bite, we do not know. The check bone has healed, but there will always be a bump. It does not affect or bother her in any way. Just a reminder for everyone who meets her how dangerous this world is for little pups born without really being wanted, their moms not fixed, every litter they produce ads to the number of dogs we scramble to find homes for, while preaching to please please not to produce, let be born, breed more dogs while the shelters are full.
Maggie is just a pup, there will be applications. If applying to adopt a dog from us, please remember that we want our Pound Rescue pups to get well socialized, which means not be left home alone all day long, which means regular trips to the off leash park to properly learn to interact with other dogs and people. To couch potatoes (no judgment!) we rather suggest a cuddly cat (we have lots of them) to share the sofa with, not an active go-go dog like Maggie is one: “World, here I come, let’s go explore!”
