Hi, I’m Ares – a 1.5-year-old, 40lb Husky/Aussie Shepherd mix with one-of-a-kind facial and ear markings. My look is as unique as my personality!
I’m all about love – giving it, receiving it, and then curling up on your lap like the oversized cuddle bug I am. I love humans of all sizes, but I can get a little too enthusiastic sometimes so I would do best with older kids. I am a big fan of yoga – you’ll often find me flat on my back, legs in the air, practising my shavasana. Trust me, it’s as comfy as it sounds!
Now, I do get a bit over-stimulated when I’m around a bunch of other dogs (like at adoption events). As I have some Husky DNA, I can get a little vocal, but it’s just my nerves talking – never aggression. I am a trusting soul and my foster mom makes sure I stay socialized with different people and dogs. I currently live with two Shepherds and a rotating cast of foster buddies. So, I’m well-versed in doggy dynamics.
I’m also housebroken (no accidents here!), and I’m learning leash skills and basic obedience. Plus, I’m a bit food-motivated, which means training is fun and tasty!
My dream home? An active family would be amazing. Bonus points if there’s another dog for me to hang out with, but I’d also be happy soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only.
