This is Willow, she is around 2 years old, Heeler/Shepard cross. She is medium size around 40lbs. Her story is one of an unknown beginning and life.
Willow was pick up from wondering in town and brought to the pound. The peace officer knew she had puppies and worried they were still young. He tried to release Willow a couple times to go back to them. She was too scared. She kept coming back to him. Back to where she knew it was safe. Since willows milk was drying up and she wasn’t going back to her home it was assumed the pups were older and probably sold off already or worse. Willow was posted so someone could come get her to take her back to her babies. No one came. Eventually, Willow came to the fosters home, and she was scared of being touched everywhere else but her head, she would just cower. Soon Willow warmed up to the new foster family. Willow loves kids especially girls. She gets along great with the fosters other dogs. She is even playing. She has been around cats with no problems. Willow is so gentle and loves to show her love by kisses. She is learning how to walk on a leash and basic commands. Willow greets new people with a wag and wanting to be pet and cuddled, she has learned to trust and open up. Willow will need a fenced in yard.
