Gary was seized by animal services from an abusive home. Born approximately April 2025, Gary was kept constantly confined and in terrible conditions. The marks you see on his face will heal; they are a non-contagious skin disorder caused by living in extreme stress and a visible sign of how much he suffered.
As soon as Gary came into foster care, he seemed to know he was finally safe. Within days he became the playful puppy he never had a chance to be. He loves to play, wrestle and run with his foster sisters in the yard and at the park. Gary is learning his skills and manners and showing how smart and willing he is. He’s excited about toys, and treats, and snuggling, and going for walks, and well, everything.
Gary has some mild anxiety from his previous experiences which is completely understandable, but it’s improving by the day. He’s fixed, microchipped and has his Parvo and kennel cough vaccines. Likely a Husky/ Shar Pei/ Shepherd mix, he’ll be around 55lbs fully grown. His face will take time to heal but should recover with minimal or no scarring. Great with dogs and dog-savvy cats.
Gary has been through terrible experiences. A loving family will replace those bad memories with wonderful ones.
