From sad girl to smiles!
The best part of rescue and fostering is being part of transforming an animal’s life.
Gloria (previously Princess) came in to our foster care through our good friends at SAVE. She has been through a lot in her two years of life including having litters of puppies and experiencing abuse. When she first came to her foster home a couple of weeks ago, Gloria was scared of touch, sad and thin. She would flinch if the foster tried to gently touch her.
Now look at her! Gloria is still scared of fast movements and needs calm and gentle hands but she is getting to a healthy weight and best of all she loves affection, playtime and walks!
Gloria is seeking a kind, patient home that can help her continue to gain confidence. She would be best with another dog in the home and would love to have a family member who is there to hang out with most of the day. Gloria is doing well with all her basic skills including going off leash and recall, which is very new to her.
This beautiful girl is a larger but slender shepherd mix with an adorable flopped ear . Now she wakes up happy every day knowing she’ll have a full tummy and lots of adventures with her new friends and foster mom!
Gloria means ‘immortal glory’ and was chosen as her name to show the resilience and joyfulness of this gorgeous girl.
Apply for Gloria and continue her journey to the happy, love-filled life she deserves ❤️🐾❤️
Gloria is fostered in Okotoks – look out for her at the park and come and say hi!
