Almost Perfect Izzy is now available for adoption! Born January 2025, this beautiful girl spent most of her young life in the dog pound. Now in a loving foster home, she’s thriving.
Izzy is a Shepherd mix with a gentle, sweet and faithful nature. She’s loving, smart, great with other dogs, has amazing recall at the off leash and will follow you to the ends of the Earth while gazing at you lovingly the whole way.
But we said almost perfect right? Because Izzy has a couple of challenges caused by her time ‘inside’. She’s initially very shy of people she doesn’t know, and needs a little time and gentle hands to gain confidence. Izzy also has separation anxiety that can often lead to chewing – unattended underwear is her specialty! Her foster mom is working on it (before she runs out of underwear), helping Izzy with her anxiety and building her confidence that her person will always come back. She’s improving all the time but Izzy will need setting up for success when she transitions to her forever home.
Izzy would love another playful dog at her new home or time every day to socialize with doggy friends. She enjoys hiking, squirrel watching, and cheese. If those are your favourite things too, maybe Izzy is your perfectly imperfect match!
