Meet Alfie, a 5-year-old black mixed-breed goofball with a heart as big as his personality! He is playful, affectionate, wonderfully silly, and always ready to make you laugh with his antics. 🥰
Alfie has come from a difficult past, and because of early trauma, he is absolutely terrified of leashes. His foster family has been patiently working with him, but progress is slow, and he may never be comfortable with traditional leash walks.
Alfie also has resource-guarding tendencies, so he needs an experienced owner who understands dog behaviour and is committed to helping him succeed. Because of this, Alfie needs to be the only dog in the home.
What Alfie truly needs is a safe, secure home where he can enjoy freedom without pressure — ideally a large, securely fenced acreage or farm where he can explore, play, and simply be himself.
Despite everything he has been through, Alfie is full of love, joy, and personality. ❤️ He deserves someone who will meet him where he is, respect his boundaries, and celebrate the amazing dog he already is.
