🐾❤️ ALFIE IS LEARNING… AND HE’S READY! ❤️🐾
Our longest Pound Rescue resident has come such a long way, and we couldn’t be prouder of this boy. 🥹
Alfie has had a hard start, but his foster mom has worked incredibly hard to help him build confidence, learn to trust, and discover that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.
And this boy is learning FAST! He’s attentive, smart, and trying so hard to focus. 🥰
Here’s Alfie’s current list of favourites:
❤️ Love: YES!
🦴 Snacks: ABSOLUTELY YES!
🚶♂️ Walkies: Starting to become a YES!
🌱 Gardening: YES!
🐶 Other dogs: “If I have to…” 😂 He lives with dogs and does fine, but he’d really prefer to have his person all to himself.
🐱 Cats: Let’s be honest… probably a NO.
👧 Older kids: YES!
One of the biggest victories? LEASH WALKS! 🙌
There was a time his foster mom didn’t think Alfie would ever become a dog who could happily walk on a leash. But with patience, consistency and lots of encouragement, he has started doing it! 🥹❤️
He’s discovering that a leash doesn’t mean something scary—it means freedom, adventures and time with his person.
Alfie still needs a very experienced, patient home that understands he has some quirks and will continue building his confidence. A fenced yard or acreage is a must, he’d love to be the centre of his person’s world.
After everything he’s been through, Alfie deserves his forever.
